Cornelius Tulloch
Cornelius Tulloch is a Miami-based interdisciplinary artist and architect whose work bridges photography, fine art, and architecture to narrate compelling stories. He examines cultural identity within built environments and how spaces influence culture and landscapes. Tulloch's art has been exhibited at prestigious venues like the NYU Center for Black Visual Culture, CUE Art Foundation, and MAXXI in Rome. A 2016 Presidential Scholar in the Arts, his work is part of the Studio Museum in Harlem's permanent collection. His accolades include the Emerging Visionary Grant by Instagram and the Brooklyn Museum, two Oolite Ellies Awards, and the 2023 YoungArts Jorge M. Perez Award. Tulloch was also named Artist Laureate for the Bakehouse x Cité internationale des arts residency in Paris. His projects draw from his Miami upbringing and Jamaican and African-American heritage, exploring the existence of bodies between cultures and borders. Tulloch's multidisciplinary approach aims to redefine and reshape art and spatial boundaries.
