Contemporary artist Scott McKinley will debut a new collection of paintings and drawings entitled CLOSE REACH in a solo exhibit at Etc. Gallery in Homestead, Florida.

The opening reception is Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 6 PM. to 8 PM. The work will remain on view, and available for purchase, through March.

Collectors have praised McKinley’s work as being “energized by joyful color” and “compelling imagery.” McKinley said, “In CLOSE REACH, I used simple drawing, expressive color and textured surfaces to create naive-looking shapes that depict ordinary things like sailboats, walkways and seaside benches. The paintings are about my sense of life along the coast, and on the water, where we’re often cutting close to the wind.”
