collaboARTive participates in Feria Clandestina 2023 at the 7 Seas Motel, Miami, an exciting and eclectic three-day art fair featuring artists, galleries, and independent projects.
Studio|Life at Féria Clandestina represents the work of South Florida artists with studios located in the Bird Road Arts District; neighbors working together to support building artistic practices and careers. The artists each have their own approaches to art-making and their spaces are as individual as the artists themselves. Together, we collaborate to create an environment of conversation, community, and creativity.
Through this installation, collaboARTive aims to encapsulate the profound significance of a dedicated workspace for artistic creation and the transformative impact derived from a dynamic community of imaginative thinkers and creators. Studio|Life transcends mere art production - it embodies the vibrant energy that emanates from an artist's committed practice, buoyed by communal support. Studio|Life is about the intimate dialogues unfolding over a glass of wine, the innovative ideas exchanged in front of a blank canvas, the pulsating rhythm of music reverberating in an active studio, the lively chatter among cohorts, and the subtle hum of a lightbulb punctuating serene moments of introspective contemplation.

ABOUT CLANDESTINA
Clandestina is an independent art project founded in 2019. Surrounded by local communities worldwide, Clandestina has grown to become a source of access for artists, galleries, and independent proposals. In 2020 Clandestina sponsored the first individual fair exhibition show for Mexican female artists working with technology and kept active during the lockdown with the public art installation “Victory Over the Sun 13” by Monika Bravo through 2020 and 2021. The iconic 7 Seas Hotel is one of the oldest motels within historic Biscayne Boulevard in the Miami Modern neighborhood, also known as MiMo. The two-story building was set for Donnie Brasco, Dexter, and No Pain No Gain. The Property is undergoing renovation under the stewardship of Sagar Desai and Activate Hospitality and has become an art ally since 2021 as the host of COLLABO 7.
