As part of collaboARTive’s Studio|Life events, we are pleased to host Noche de Arte at InterContinental Miami Hotel, a weekly happy hour event featuring a Miami-based artist exploring new materials and techniques to create new works.
You are invited to join us Mondays in the lobby as locally acclaimed artists bring their works to life around the Hotel's famed Henry Moore "Spindle" sculpture.
September Artist in Residence is Alejandro Perez.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alejandro is a Cuban born Artist residing in Miami. He received his Fine Arts degree in 1992 from San Alejandro Fine Arts School in Havana Cuba. Alejandro's biggest artistic influencers are mythology and human history. He believes mythology prevails in art and resonates in it across time and that art has the capacity to compress past and present. He uses texture as an element of time and history and nourishes with the power of visual codes, whether from advertising, popular culture or art history.
