Sean Levisman

About the Artist

Sean Levisman is a Miami-based artist playing hooky from his day job in advertising. He's American by birth but multicultural to the bone, having lived in four countries and three continents by the age of 18. Perhaps this global upbringing shaped his sense of the humanly universal when it comes to artistic subject matter. Sean began painting as a high school student in the International Baccalaureate visual art program and continued to develop as a painter while attending the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University. Today he paints in an experimental figurative expressionist style that often veers towards abstraction. The results are contemplative totemic images which reflect different facets of the human condition—from the mundane and introspective to the transpersonal and visionary.
