Fran Bitett Beck, originally from Brooklyn, New York, relocated to Florida with her family. She holds a BS from the University of New York, New Paltz, and an MS from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. As an educator, Fran taught Art and Photography to both adults and children. Her work has been featured in publications like Photo Review, Double Take Magazine, and Oxford American. Her photographs are part of esteemed collections, including the John and Marble Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Metro-Dade County Art in Public Places, and Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies. Fran is a two-time recipient of the Broward County Cultural Arts Consortium Award.
